Snowy Hydro Social Media Moderation Policy

The Snowy Hydro Community team moderates Snowy Hydro Limited’s social media accounts, which include Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Snowy Hydro uses social media to engage with, inform, and listen to the community, but we want to do so in a meaningful and respectful way. So, if you engage with any of our social media accounts, we need you to abide by our social media guidelines (‘Guidelines’) (below). If your content doesn’t comply with our Guidelines, we may remove it and/or block you from the account (with or without a warning).

We are subject to the Privacy Act 1988, which requires that we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in that Act. See Snowy Hydro’s Privacy Policy for more information.

Snowy Hydro’s social media channels are open public forums. While we will do our best to ensure content is in line with our Guidelines, Snowy Hydro does not endorse and is not accountable for, any views expressed by third parties or user content on our social media accounts.

Snowy Hydro’s social media accounts are managed Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Any messages to our accounts will be responded to within those hours as soon as possible.

When you use social media platforms, you are using an external site. Each site has its own rules, and we do not take responsibility for any breaches of these rules.

Promotions and competitions on our pages are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform on which we host community forums. Being ‘liked’, ‘followed’ or having content shared by any of the Snowy Hydro accounts does not imply endorsement of any kind.

We provide external links to information on Snowy Hydro on our social media accounts as a convenience to the public, and we do not take responsibility for the content or reliability of external links.
